Noir
A downloadable game for Windows
Take control of Noir, a well-traveled wanderer, and explore the mountainside of Morring. Your goal is to collect thirteen "droplets", orbs of manifested energy. Some are in plain sight, while others are hidden behind devious platforming challenges. Can you retrieve them all?
Noir is a proof-of-concept prototype of a very ambitious game concept of mine: an open-world Metroidvania sidescroller. I envision the droplets as currency, which can be exchanged for the game's key items. So, no matter what order you choose to purchase the items in, each will open up new areas with their own droplets to find. This demo focuses on the process of obtaining the droplets and the freedom the player has in choosing which order to approach them in.
